Biological Fouling

Symptoms of biological fouling include:

• High differential pressures particularly in the first array, but may penetrate through the system
• Gelatinous foulant may be present coating the anti-telescoping devices, cartridge filter housing and piping
• The foulant can vary in color from tans and browns to pink
• The foulant can have a bad odor similar to that of a rotten egg
